Встречу организовал Эрик Принс, о чем он впоследствии умолчал и соврал в показаниях в Конгрессе, совершив тем самым еще одно федеральное преступление. На встрече Джордж Надер от имени правящих лиц Саудовской Аравии и ОАЭ предлагал помощь в избирательной кампании.

A separate source told DailyMail.com that it was being said in the Gulf that the president's son-in-law took a copy of information from the daily intelligence briefing provided by the intelligence community to the White House, and shared its contents with MBS.
The intelligence named several family members who were opposed to his rise, it was said.
'Kushner got hold of an intelligence briefing,' said the Riyadh palace source, recounting the version which originated with MBS. 'At that time he had a high level of security clearance and had access to that. He copied it and provided its contents to MBS.
'The CIA are doing their job by briefing the president on what is happening internationally.
'This is a briefing by the CIA to tell the president that some members of the Saudi royal family are plotting in this and that country.
'Kushner took that part of the briefing and flew to Saudi Arabia to impress MBS.'

During that period, he met on multiple occasions with Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, said three people familiar with the meetings. Among other things, the two men discussed a possible White House job for Mr. Harris.
The job never materialized, but in November, Apollo lent $184 million to Mr. Kushner’s family real estate firm, Kushner Companies. The loan was to refinance the mortgage on a Chicago skyscraper.
Even by the standards of Apollo, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, the previously unreported transaction with the Kushners was a big deal: It was triple the size of the average property loan made by Apollo’s real estate lending arm, securities filings show.
It was one of the largest loans Kushner Companies received last year. An even larger loan came from Citigroup, which lent the firm and one of its partners $325 million to help finance a group of office buildings in Brooklyn.

Три дополнительных интересных момента в показаниях Коми:

1. Флинн как информатор.

При обсуждении того, почему Трамп был заинтересован в прекращении расследования Флинна, Коми раскрывает стандартный метод ФБР: поймав кого-то на серьезном преступлении, использовать угрозу наказания для того, чтобы склонить подозреваемого к сотрудничеству и получить от него информацию о других, более серьезных преступлениях.

KING: Back to Mr. Flynn. Would the — would closing out the Flynn investigation have impeded the overall Russian investigation?
COMEY: No. Well, unlikely, except to the extent — there is always a possibility if you have a criminal case against someone and squeeze them, flip them and they give you information about something else.

Это обсуждение косвенно подтверждает предыдущее предположение о том, что сотрудники ФБР поймали Флинна на вранье по поводу его контактов с Кисляком: "Ложные показания ФБР - само себе серьёзное преступление (5 лет тюрьмы). Зная, что теперь Флинн у них на крюке и они могут склонить его к сотрудничеству, ФБР согласилось на то, чтобы поставить Белый дом в известность." My reading of it was it was important for me to assure him we were not personally investigating him. So the context then was actually narrower, focused on what I just talked to him about. It was very important because it was, first, true, and second, I was worried very much about being in kind of a J. Edgar Hoover-type situation. I didn't want him thinking I was briefing him on this to sort of hang it over him in some way.

Казалось бы, если история с "золотым дождем" полностью выдуманa, и на ее счет не существует никаких доказательств, достаточно отрицать ее один раз. Упоминая Эдгарда Гувера и тот факт, что Трамп три раза возвращался к теме компромата, Коми как будто намекает на то, что компромат существует.

Лоуренс О'Доннелл из MSNBC подвергся нападкам в прессе за то, что предположил в запуске Трампом ракет по Сирии возможность "многоходовочки" со стороны Путина. Однако, ничего особенно конспирологического он не сказал. Действительно, трудно предположить, что химическая атака Асада была сделана без ведома Путина. А исход событий с точки зрения их освещения в американской прессе не мог быть более благоприятным для того, чтобы замять дискуссию о российских связях Трампа. О'Доннелл на этой версии не настаивал, просто сказал, что ее вероятность нельзя считать равной нулю.



В сирийских событиях заслуживает также внимания центральная роль Джареда Кушнера. Накануне этих событий просочились сведения о том, что Кушнер, заполняя анкету на получение допуска к секретным материалам, допустил серьезное нарушение - скрыл сведения о своих встречах с Кисляком и другими российскими контактами.
