Главное событие вчерашнего дня - Флинн официально признал себя виновным во вранье ФБР и согласился на сотрудничество со следствием в обмен на снятие других обвинений с него и его сына.

Само по себе это не является неожиданным. Еще в мае мы предполагали такую интерпретацию событий января 2017: "Йейтс прямо об этом не говорит, но легко можно предположить, что ФБР поймали Флинна на вранье. По какой-то причине он не подозревал о том, что разговоры с Кисляком прослушаны. Ложные показания ФБР - само себе серьёзное преступление (5 лет тюрьмы). Зная, что теперь Флинн у них на крюке и они могут склонить его к сотрудничеству, ФБР согласилось на то, чтобы поставить Белый дом в известность."
Поскольку на Флинне висело много других серьезных потенциальных обвинений (работа на Турцию, вранье при получении доступа к секретным материалам и т.д.), комментаторы сходятся к тому, что снятие этих обвинений - явный знак того, что Флинн предоставил команде Мюллера важную информацию для предъявления обвинений более крупной рыбе, а именно Трампу и его семье.

According to court documents made public on Friday, a member of Trump’s presidential transition team, later identified by sources as Trump’s son-in-law Kushner, told Flynn on Dec. 22 to contact officials from foreign governments, including Russia, to convince them to delay the vote or veto the resolution.
Flynn spoke with then-Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergei Kislyak that day, and again the following day, according to the court documents.

A Turboatom spokeswoman said she did not have an immediate comment on the matter.
The email was titled “TRUMP/PUTIN ME Marshall plan CONCEPT.” ME stands for Middle East. The title, evoking the post-World War Two plan to rebuild Western European economies, reflected the hopes of the plan’s backers that Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could cooperate on a project that would boost Middle East economies.

Ivanka Trump, who was a member of the transition team’s executive council, announced that she had invited them. Christie tried to reclaim control of the meeting, but Ivanka took over. Praising Flynn’s “amazing loyalty to my father,” she turned to him and asked, “General, what job do you want?” A participant at the meeting said, “It was like Princess Ivanka had laid the sword on Flynn’s shoulders and said, ‘Rise and go forth.’ ”
Flynn expressed interest in becoming Secretary of State or Secretary of Defense. Eric Trump, who was also on the team, asked Flynn if he had been out of uniform long enough to head the Pentagon. Flynn said that he could probably get a congressional waiver, but if not he’d settle for national-security adviser.
A few hours later, Christie was deposed. Kushner, he felt, had humiliated him a second time. Bannon, who was given the job of dismissing him, admitted to Christie that Kushner had been against him all along, for personal reasons. In any event, when Pence replaced Christie, the door of the White House was opened to Flynn. On November 17th, after little vetting, Flynn was named Trump’s national-security adviser, one of the most sensitive posts in the U.S. government.

McFarland was not named in the document but sources confirmed she was who was described in the court filings.
CNN has learned McFarland met with Mueller investigators recently to answer questions about Michael Flynn, according to the sources.
