When Marsh asked him where he thinks the Mueller investigation is at currently, Comey said there’s “an argument to be made that the conviction – the plea and cooperation by Paul Manafort – may represent that we’re in the fourth quarter.”
“The way you normally do investigations is you work from the bottom up, and so they're getting pretty high,” he said. “But again, the reason I'm hesitant to even say that is [because] Bob Mueller's conducted his investigation like a pro – you know nothing about it except through his public filings, and that's the way it's supposed to be. And so I can't say with certainty where he is.”

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn is set to be sentenced on December 18 for lying to FBI investigators, federal Judge Emmet Sullivan said Wednesday.
Flynn pleaded guilty to one charge last December as a result of the special counsel probe led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller.
Both prosecutors and Flynn's defense team told Sullivan on Monday that he was ready to be sentenced, following several requests for delays. Sullivan's scheduling the sentencing for December means it falls well after the midterm elections in early November.

K.T. McFarland, who briefly served as Flynn’s deputy, has now said that he may have been referring to sanctions when they spoke in late December 2016 after Flynn’s calls with Russia’s ambassador to the United States, these people said.
When FBI agents first visited her at her Long Island home in the summer of 2017, McFarland denied ever talking to Flynn about any discussion of sanctions between him and the ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, in December 2016 during the presidential transition.
For a time, investigators saw her answers as “inconsistent,” putting her in legal peril as the FBI tried to determine if she had lied to them.

В статье по ссылке рассказывается, что Макфарланд вполне сознательно врала и ФБР, и журналистом, отрицая, что речь в разговоре Флинна с Кисляком шла о санкциях. Но, похоже, что прокуроры Мюллера сочли ее слишком мелкой рыбой, чтобы предъявлять обвинения.
