На вчерашнем сборище нацистов в Виргинии не было криков "Russia is our friend", как это было в мае. Но влияние российской пропаганды тем не менее ощущалось. Новый герой нацистов - путинский протеже Асад. Были крики "Assad's the man!" На фейсбук-странице нацистского террориста среди других традиционных alt-right мемов - портрет Асада с подписью "undefeated".

Многие также вспомнили вчера выступление Хиллари Клинтон 25 августа 2016, в котором она подробно объясняла историю расизма Трампа, его ассоциацию с нацистами alt-right и роль в этом деле Путина.

Что касается реакции Трампа, то в ней не только знакомые ноты, но и "игла Кащея" - социопатическое отсутствие эмпатии.

Говоря про эмпатию, поучительно наблюдать процесс радикализации в живом времени на примере юзера rsokolov.

Про культ Асада:

His late father, President Hafez al-Assad, was the closest Middle East ally of the Soviet Union throughout the Cold War. The son has enjoyed the stalwart support of international leftists throughout his attempt to crush the six-year-old rebellion against his rule.
