В пятницу вечером на HBO в прямом эфире идет программа Билла Мара. Шутки для Мара пишет, как положено, команда юмористов (последний пример: “Oh this looks bad for Trump. You know how Putin feels about failure.”) Гости у него иногда бывают иногда невразумительные, и он к ним не всегда хорошо подготовлен. Но его приверженность свободе слова помогает свести вмести людей, которых на других каналах в одной передаче врядли увидишь.

Вчера среди гостей была Louise Mensch. Она говорила о роли ФБР в расследовании российских связей Трампа и поделилась наблюдением о нарастающей панике в Белом доме.

Many anticipate that “the institution will save us” but Snyder said that this kind of thinking is wrong. “We have to save the institutions. They don’t do it on their own. This is the moment of ‘ask not what the institutions can do for you. Ask what you can do for the institutions.'”
His third was for Americans to believe in the truth. “Without truth, we don’t have trust. Without trust, we don’t have the rule of law. Without the rule of law, we don’t have democracy,” he continued.
