В Америке явный плагиат в диссертациях - явление редкое. Но на нем попалась Моника Кроули, бывший комментатор Fox News, которой была выбрана Трампом на должность senior communications director of the National Security Council.



An examination of the dissertation and the sources it cites identified more than a dozen sections of text that have been lifted, with little to no changes, from other scholarly works without proper attribution. In some instances, Crowley footnoted her source but did not identify with quotation marks the text she was copying directly. In other instances, she copied text or heavily paraphrased with no attribution at all.

Дело о хакерах

Завершая расследование ФБР, калифорнийский суд выдвинул обвинения четырем российским хакерам за взлом Yahoo. Это не первый случай с подобными хакерами. Необычным является масштаб взлома (500 миллионов аккаунтов), а также то, что двое из осужденных являются действующими сотрудниками ФСБ.

A grand jury in the Northern District of California has indicted four defendants, including two officers of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), for computer hacking, economic espionage and other criminal offenses in connection with a conspiracy, beginning in January 2014, to access Yahoo’s network and the contents of webmail accounts. <...> The FSB officer defendants, Dmitry Dokuchaev and Igor Sushchin, protected, directed, facilitated and paid criminal hackers to collect information through computer intrusions in the U.S. and elsewhere. In the present case, they worked with co-defendants Alexsey Belan and Karim Baratov to obtain access to the email accounts of thousands of individuals.

Oдин из четырех хакеров, майор ФСБ Дмитрий Докучаев, был арестован в России 4 декабря 2016. Ему вместе с полковником ФСБ Сергеем Михайловым предъявлены обвинения в госизмене (статья 275 УК РФ) за передачу секретных сведений ЦРУ.
