Адвокат Клайн Престон (G. Kline Preston IV) из Теннесси приезжал в Россию наблюдателем на "выборы". Никаких нарушений, естественно, не нашел. Он делает это не в первый раз. Работая наблюдателем на печально известный выборах в Госдуму в 2011, Престон тоже не заметил ни малейших нарушений.

ФЕЛЬГЕНГАУЭР: Не знаю, обратили вы вчера внимание или нет, может быть, вы слышали об этом, но промелькнули совершенно удивительные кадры в прямом эфире одного из каналов, когда начались вот эти все цифры, проценты и прочее. По данным ЦИК, в частности, Ростовская область, и дальше перечисляется: «Единая Россия» почти 59%, КПРФ почти 33%, ЛДПР почти 24%, «Справедливая Россия» 19,5%. В общем, в сумме получается почти 140%. Это может заинтересовать международных наблюдателей? Как может быть 140% голосов? Клайн, вы так в следующий раз приедете наблюдать за выборами, а вам скажут: а у нас тут почему-то 140% голосов по Ростовской области посчиталось.
Д.К.ПРЕСТОН: Если вы говорите о таких вещах, это очень похоже на выборы в Чикаго, в Луизиане.
Т. ФЕЛЬГЕНГАУЭР: Все так любят голосовать, что делают это по два раза?

С Торшиным Престон дружит давно. В 2009 два друга пришли на "Эхо Москвы", чтобы обсудить закон о сделке со следствием по американскому образцу. Обсуждали ныне актуальный случай Сэмми Гравано из семейства Гамбино.

К. ПРЕСТОН: Есть программа, чтобы защищать. Их имена изменяются, они живут по другому имени. Типа Сэмми Гровано. Обычно это так, это просто мелкие преступники, которые не очень организованны, сделали что-то не то и прокололись, самые слабые. Чтобы это выяснить, что случилось, и получить показания и доказательства, что у него не было…
А. ПЛЮЩЕВ: Александр Порфирьевич, как у нас будут защищать тех, кто идет на сделку с правосудием и сдает своих сообщников фактически?
А. ТОРШИН: Ну, вы знаете, существует законодательство соответствующее, существует закон о защите свидетелей и потерпевших. Большой практики пока, честно скажу, нет. Но я думаю, что с принятием этого закона практика расширится.

Во всех путинских бочках затычка, Рорабейкер промелькнул и в истории зашкваривания Майкла Флинна, которую расследовал Bloomberg. Выясняется, что он был активным участником обсуждения пресловутого плана принести атомную энергию на Ближний Восток.

Дональд Трамп поздравил Владимира Путина с победой на президентских выборах.
