Федеральная комиссия по связи (FCC) расследует жалобы на Стивена Колбера за его "непристойную" шутку про Трампа.

Late night talk show host Stephen Colbert’s controversial joke about President Trump drew the attention of the Federal Communications Commission. The agency received “a number” of complaints about Colbert’s commentary earlier in the week, according to the FCC’s chief. FCC Chairman Ajit Pai promised to “take the appropriate action” following a comprehensive investigation of Colbert’s remarks.

Шутка была в жанре "insult comedy":

“You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign-language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s cock holster.”

Это не первый раз, когда Колбер обращается к подобным шуткам. В конце июля 2016 кто-то из аудитории спросил его, какой бы вопрос он задал Трампу, если бы тот пришел к нему на передачу. Ответ Колбера:

“What does Vladimir Putin’s dick taste like?”

В сгустившейся атмосфере после выборов вспомнили, что Трамп держит список врагов, которым собирается мстить за то, что они его не поддержали. Омароса Маниголт, которая ныне работает в Белом доме в должности Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison и пользуется привилегией входа в Овальный кабинет без стука, в интервью перед выборами говорила : "Every critic, every detractor, will have to bow down to President Trump. It’s everyone who’s ever doubted Donald, who’s ever disagreed, whoever challenged him. It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe."

В ответ Стивен Колбер в своей передаче изобразил, как он "bow down": "All hail our glorious leader! Giant hands! You've got giant hands! You're going to be great!" После чего выдержал паузу и добавил: "…is what a pussy would say".
