Твиттер обнаружил дополнительную тысячу аккаунтов с питерской фабрики троллей, а также десятки тысяч ботов - ветеранов информационной войны 2016.

We have identified an additional 1,062 accounts associated with the IRA. We have suspended all of these accounts for Terms of Service violations, primarily spam, and all but a few accounts, which were restored to legitimate users, remain suspended. At the request of congressional investigators, we are also sharing those account handles with Congress. In total, during the time period we investigated, the 3,814 identified IRA-linked accounts posted 175,993 Tweets, approximately 8.4% of which were election-related.
We have also provided Congress with the results of our supplemental analysis into activity believed to be automated, election-related activity originating out of Russia during the election period. Through our supplemental analysis, we have identified 13,512 additional accounts, for a total of 50,258 automated accounts that we identified as Russian-linked and Tweeting election-related content during the election period, representing approximately two one-hundredths of a percent (0.016%) of the total accounts on Twitter at the time.

Цифра 0.016% - лукавая. Измерение количества аккаунтов само по себе не принимает во внимание ни число сгенерированных ими твитов, ни их влиятельность, ни усиление этой влиятельности путем синхронизации.



Последняя атака путинских ботов связана с нападками на ФБР и расследование Мюллера. Непотопляемый Нунес написал отчётик на четыре страницы, в котором якобы содержатся ужасающие детали того, как ФБР следило за Трампом. Непонятно, что мешает ему обнародовать этот отчёт, но российские тролли и боты совместно с трампогандой отчаянно раскручивают тэг releasethememo.

It's hardly unprecedented, in these Trump times, for right-wing sites to be amplifying messages from Russian propagandists, or for members of Congress to chime in. But "the degree to which they're promoting this hashtag is significant," says Jonathon Morgan, one of the creators of the "disinformation dashboard." Morgan, CEO of Austin-based New Knowledge, which tracks disinformation campaigns in social media, can't recall anything quite like this: Whereas the periodic explosions of Russian-Republican memes – especially when they're designed to undercut the Trump-Russia probe – occasionally reach 400 uses of the hashtag per day, "we're measuring more than 3,000" uses of #ReleaseTheMemo since Thursday. That's not a meme; it's an avalanche.
