Выясняется, что данные о российском микротаргетинге в Фейсбукe просочились не просто так. CNN сообщает, что команда Мюллера получила эти данные благодаря ордеру на обыск.

Special counsel Robert Mueller and his team are now in possession of Russian-linked ads run on Facebook during the presidential election, after they obtained a search warrant for the information.
Facebook gave Mueller and his team copies of ads and related information it discovered on its site linked to a Russian troll farm, as well as detailed information about the accounts that bought the ads and the way the ads were targeted at American Facebook users, a source with knowledge of the matter told CNN.

Как и в случае обыска у Манафорта, само существование ордера на обыск указывает на то, что у Мюллера было достаточно данных о преступлении и его обстоятельствах, чтобы убедить суд в том, что обыск принесет свидетельста этого преступления.



Кстати о Манафорте. Вчера прокуроры из команды Мюллера взяли показания большого жюри у пресс-секретаря Манафорта Джейсона Малони.

A spokesman for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Jason Maloni, spent about two-and-a-half hours testifying Friday before a federal grand jury probing potential collusion between the campaign and Russia.
Maloni arrived at the courthouse just before 9 a.m. and disappeared behind the frosted glass doors of the grand jury suite on the third floor of the federal courthouse near the U.S. Capitol.
When he emerged just before noon, the Manafort spokesman spoke briefly with assembled reporters and photographers, but declined to provide details about what he was asked.
"I was ordered to appear before the grand jury," said Maloni, with the communications firm JadeRoq. "I answered questions and I've been dismissed. That's all I have to say."

На показаниях для большого жюри присутствуют только присяжные, прокуроры и стенографисты. Опытные прокуроры умеют раскалывать свидетелей на показания либо ловить их на вранье под присягой, что само по себе является серьезным преступлением и дополнительным способом для склонения к сотрудничеству.
