Два года назад, на слушаниях по утверждению Салли Йейтс на пост заместителя генпрокурора Джеф Сешнс, тогда в роли сенатора, задал ей прямой вопрос по поводу выполнения незаконных приказов президента.

SESSIONS: You have to watch out, because people will be asking you do to things you just need to say no about. Do you think the attorney general has the responsibility to say no to the president if he asks for something that's improper?
A lot of people have defended the [Loretta] Lynch nomination, for example, by saying: 'Well, he appoints somebody who's going to execute his views. What's wrong with that?' But if the views the president wants to execute are unlawful, should the attorney general or the deputy attorney general say no?”
YATES: Senator, I believe that the attorney general or the deputy attorney general has an obligation to follow the law and the Constitution, and to give their independent legal advice to the president.

В том, что касается Рашагейта, основных претензий к Сешнсу две:



1. Встречи с Кисляком.

Сешнс встречался с Кисляком при подозрительных обстоятельств, после чего совершил серьезное преступление, соврав об этих встречах на показаниях под присягой и на форме для получения доступа к государственным секретам. Две встречи с Кисляком обсуждались ранее и были подтверждены. Третья предположительная встреча была 27 aпреля 2016 в отеле Mayflower.

Гипотезы

Зафиксируем на всякий случай две альтернативные гипотезы, объясняющие поведение Трампа по отношению к Путину и России. Эти гипотезы не взаимоисключающие, поэтому третьей гипотезой может быть объединение первых двух.

Рабочей гипотезой этого сообщества остается то, что основной посыл досье Стила верен и что Трамп сидит у Путина на крюке. Этот крюк может включать в себя компромат разного характера или взятку. Он также может быть воткнут в близких Трампа вроде его зятя Кушнера.



Вторая гипотеза - Трамп с юных лет охвачен фантазией о кооперации с Россией, скорее всего для совместной войны. Вариантом этой фантазии является идея о кооперации с Россией в войне против ИГИЛ. В подтверждение последнего просочились сведения о давлении Флинна на Пентагон и о секретной информации про ИГИЛ, которой Трамп поделился с российскими посланцами.
